Arrived in a timely fashion.Very well packed with good assembly instructions.Well made piece of exercise equipment.I have been using the equipment for 2-1/2 weeks now and can already see the results.I absolutely despise exercise and yet find myself motivated by the quick results to keep at it even when it has been a long tiring day.I would recommend this home gym for all ages, both male and female.

About Home Gyms
While offering the convenience of working out in the comfort and privacy of your own home, home gyms also allow you to focus on specific routines without having to wait in line or switch between a complex array of machines. In addition to improving strength, power, coordination, and muscular endurance, weight training can enhance weight reduction, enhance the immune and cardiovascular systems, and help prevent injuries. In general, home gym machines are compact units designed to strengthen and exercise many parts of the body. While no single home gym can provide a complete strength training solution, they are a convenient way to combine many exercises into a single unit. Some home gyms focus exclusively on upper-body workouts, while other, more advanced units focus on upper- and lower-body conditioning.

Bowflex Revolution FT Home Gym Review

Bowflex Revolution FT Home Gym
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
*I am writing this 'review' not from the standpoint of purchaser, but rather from the standpoint of informer.I hope this can save someone from maybe buying the wrong Revolution.*
There are 3 different Bowflex Revolutions. There is the 'regular' model (the Revolution) (footprint of app. 3'X 8'), then the [space-saving] Rev. XP, and also the [space-saving] Rev. FT (footprint(s) of app. 4'X5').
It seems as though the FT does NOT come with a seat/chair/bench (unless "added on").Some [other] places offer the 3.1 bench included in the price of the FT.Purchaser should be aware that unless added, no bench will come with FT (again, this is from my research..please correct me if I am wrong).
I am needing a bench that is able to be 'attached' to the unit, so the bench is stable...not wobble-like, or shaky ; therefore, I am opting for the XP.The "FT" is the retail version of the Revolution. Also, I personally see no provision(s) for a [true] preacher curl.
I love the design and footprint of the [space-saving] Revolution(s), just wanted to clear up a potentially confusing situation.

Bowflex Blaze Home Gym Review

Bowflex Blaze Home Gym
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all, I have the Bowflex Sport, which is the same as the Blaze just with different trim and labels, but which is being discontinued to Bowflex (however if you can find one they are cheaper than the Blaze).

Before I get into my tips, I'll give a brief review.I've had this machine for 10 months now and I am mostly pleased with it.I started out as a computer desk nerd with no strength and I've worked up to about average guy strength - I can bench about 200 bowflex pounds now, more than twice what I started at.So it works - just don't expect the miracles they advertise. The best thing about it is that is uses a pully system which makes it extremely versatile. The worst thing is the bows, which are elastic. If you can find a machine that uses pulleys like the Bowflex but has a weight stack instead of bows, that would be best, but I don't think there is one in this price range.

Now for the tips.
1.The bows work by stretching, and can get stretched out of shape like a rubber band.So make sure you tie them back with the included strap after every workout. If you mess up and stretch them out, you *could* try connecting them to the opposite hook and leaving them like that for a couple of days.I did this and it seemed to fix the issue.

2.By the same token, the resistance varies with temperature.I found this out by accident when my AC stopped working. The temp went up by 10 degrees and I was suddenly able to lift about 10% more.

3.The bows are not like physical weights. The resistance changes from easy at the beginning of the motion to hard at the end. Also I believe they are overall lighter than physical weights.

4.The weight labels on the bows don't add up mathematically. For example, 30lbs + 10lbs + 10lbs is much "lighter" than the 50lb bow.So while you are making gains you should actually increase from 45 to 30 + 10 + 10 to 30 + 10 + 10 + 5to 50 instead of jumping directly from 45 to 50.Another way to think of it in your head is that the 50lb is actually 60-ish in Bowflex units. This is also true for the jump from 25 to 30.Since there are only 2 10lbs weights I get around this by doing extra reps at 25 until I can finally do a full set at 30.You could also try raising the room temperature by about 5 degrees which should soften them up to start, and gradually increase it with each workout.

4.Despite what Dr. Bowflex says, the machine just isn't made for a cardio.I got a schwinn exercise bike to compensate for this.I immediately noticed being able to have longer workouts due to my increasing cardiovascular endurance.

5.The manual also states not to rest more than a minute between each exercise.I did this at first, but then (anecdotally) I discovered that if I rested longer in order to catch my breath, I could do more reps and make faster gains.

6.Certain exercises just don't work that well - basically anything involving legs, feet, or cardio. The supposed rows are not even worth it.Also the leg curls are very awkward. The manual does not even describe how to do them but according to an old manual I found on the net, you need to lie halfway on the leg station seat and halfway on the bench (the opposite exercise - I forget the name - let's call it "leg raise" - does work rather well though). Finally the leg press might be worth it after you upgrade to 310 or 410 pounds, but at 210 even someone completely out of shape might find them wanting - mainly because your legs are the strongest part of your body, even on a sedentary person. On top of this it is hard to get the leg press strap to stay in place when you are first getting into position.

7. In my case there were some exercises that hurt my joints.I've never had joint injuries that I know if, so it may just be my body shape.I'm pretty sure I did them correctly. However, in the manual it lists the muscle groups of each motion.Instead of trying exercises that hurt, I picked others that would exercise the same groups.

Folded Footprint: 52 inches long by 38 inches wide
Workout Area: 8 feet, 4 inches by 6 feet, 6 inches

Multiple Machines in One Device
The Blaze home gym is similar to having a whole resistance training gym tucked right into your den. Bowflex's lat tower with angled lat bar helps build back and shoulder muscles quickly, and the lower pulley/squat station enables you to do squats and build your glutes, hamstrings and quads. In addition, the Blaze is equipped with a leg extension/leg curl attachment that helps develop strong, muscular legs, and the sliding seat rail allows you to perform aerobic rowing and leg presses to improve your cardiovascular health. And instead of different handles for every exercise, Bowflex has designed triple-function handgrips and ankle cuffs with multiple cable/pulley positions that encourage custom workouts. But if custom workouts isn't your cup of tea, Bowflex also includes a workout placard that steps you through the famous Bowflex 20-minute workout.
Power Rod Technology
Bowflex Power Rods give you resistance, or weight, that feels as good as or better than free weight lifting -- but without the inertia or risk of joint pain that is almost always associated with free weight strength training. Power Rod units are precisely manufactured under the highest quality control measures, then sheathed and tested four separate times to ensure quality and durability. Bowflex is convinced that the Power Rod units are so strong that you simply can't wear them out. You can flex them repeatedly, but they won't lose their resistance or break. In fact, they're so strong, Bowflex has given the Power Rods a no-time-limit warranty. If you can wear the Power Rods out, Bowflex will replace them for free.
The Key to a Better Body
strength training is when you perform exercises with resistance to build muscle strength. Strength training is not running on a treadmill, riding a stationary bike, or using a ski or rider machine. Although these types of aerobic machines use "resistance" to increase cardiovascular workout intensity, it is still not the same as strength training. strength training is, essentially, weight lifting. But don't be discouraged; you don't have to get bulky muscles if you don't want to. With Bowflex Blaze you can shape and sculpt your muscles to make your body look the way you want. It just takes persistence and dedication.
Why does strength training work better than aerobics for getting fit and losing fat? Because the more muscles you have on your body, the higher your metabolism rate, and the more calories you burn. Muscle also creates the shape of your body -- muscle is what makes you move, it's what gives you energy and strength. Of course, this doesn't mean you should abandon your aerobic exercise -- cardiovascular exercise is necessary for a healthy body -- but the combination of aerobic and strength training will help you achieve your fitness goals. Muscle acts as your body's fat burners. It's the stuff that makes you active and makes you burn calories. If you want to lose fat, you need to strength train with the Bowflex Blaze to add muscles, burn calories, and look fantastic.
What's in the Box?
Bowflex Blaze home gym, lat bar, leg extension/leg curl attachments, triple-function handgrips and ankle cuffs, 20-minute workout placard, and owner's manual/fitness guide.

Five-year limited warranty on commercial quality construction and lifetime warranty on Power Rods

Excellent product and service.Although this item arrived a bit later than expected due to shipping area/schedule, it did arrive in good condition. The first big excercise that I had with this machine involved moving it to my basement.Even after removing the covers and foot pedals, it was still a heavy task as the frame was built like a tank. After assembly, the unit was smooth.Even my sister commented that she liked this unit better than the one that she uses in the gym.The only issue that I had was that it was missing the heart rate chest monitor. I called Bodysolid about this. Not only did I quickly get someone on the phone, but they quickly shipped out the monitor which I received in about 3 days.As mentioned, overall great service and one well built machine.

I bought a brand new Nautilus T518 in June 2009.I used it consistenly (12 - 15 miles per week) for 7 months and it STOPPED working. The internal circuit breaker would flip and the power would cut out.

The retail store sent out a repair guy and determined the transformer was overheating. They ordered a new controller board from Nautilus.Three weeks later the part finally arrived and the service guy installed it.After running on it for 5 minutes the same problem happened.

This machine is junk and the manufacturer doesn't care how long it takes to send out replacement parts.

About Treadmills
Walking is still considered one of the most beneficial cardiovascular exercises for people of all ages, body types, and fitness levels. As a fundamental form of aerobic training, walking has numerous physical benefits for the heart, lungs, and circulatory system, while also increasing muscle tone and burning fat calories. Treadmills provide a convenient way to regularly exercise in all weather conditions in the comfort and safety of your own home.
From beginners just starting an exercise regimen to advanced athletes looking to maintain their fitness level, anyone interested in getting and staying in shape can benefit greatly from regular use of a treadmill. Treadmills allow you to determine the pace, distance, and complexity of the workout based on your needs, all while watching television, talking on the telephone, or reading a magazine. Much easier on sensitive joints like the knees and hips, treadmill walking and running surfaces are typically long, padded platforms that allow ample room for a long stride and comfortable, low-impact walk or jog without the harsh contact of a concrete surface.
While many different types, styles, and price ranges of treadmills exist, many of them offer unique features like a fold-up design for easy storage, an electronic display monitor showing speed, distance, workout time, incline level, and burned calories, and EKG grip pulses to monitor the heart rate while exercising. Regardless of the simple to complex features you may choose, treadmills offer an array of aerobic exercise opportunities that will provide long-lasting beneficial cardiovascular results without a commute to the gym or a jog in the rain.

Epic T60 Treadmill Review

Epic T60 Treadmill
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've run about 400 miles on mine over the course of a few years, with no serious problems. The tread is made from high quality rubber, the machine is very stable, the 60 inch tread length is great, and it's easy to adjust the tread (left or right a centimeter or so, maybe every 100 miles) with a supplied allen wrench. Here are the minor issues I've encountered:
1. It is very difficult to move. You have to lift about 100 pounds just to roll it in a very limited manner.
2. It doesn't beep anymore (to indicate events like power on, or setting the speed to 10MPH, etc.).
3. The pulse measuring feature doesn't work very well. It measures my pulse too quickly (within 3 seconds), or not at all, and as a result it is not very accurate or consistent.
4. It measures distance incorrectly at the very start-- If I start from rest and click 10MPH, the reported distance increases as if I am going 10MPH immediately, while the actual speed is climbing up to 10MPH over the course of about 15 seconds. In other words, it reports I run a mile in exactly 6 minutes when really the first 15 seconds were at a slower pace.
5. The aluminum panel at the front end of the tread is flimsy. I stepped on it twice while running, almost destroying the panel on one occasion. It is now a bit warped and it almost touches the tread. I've learned to avoid it, which is easy when you have 60 inches to work with.

Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym Review

This just arrived today. Took about 2 hours to assemble, but it's pretty easy. I almost bought this from another site, because they were going to assemble it (would've been 200 extra dollars for that) and I am very glad I did it myself.

This unit is extremely sturdy and well put together. I was a bit nervous to buy this because I have young kids I did not want to trash it. Believe me, they couldn't! This is far too well-designed and durable.

Worked out for about an hour, and I love it. Lots of exercises you can do (both muscular and cardio) and you can really feel it.

As others have noted on other models, I can see how the weights (200 lbs) might not be enough, but I am not looking to become the Incredible Hulk. This unit is perfect to stay fit and not let those holiday meals get the upper hand.

I really recommend this to anyone who wants to work at home and does not want to be bored with the same old routine (treadmill, stationary bike, etc.)

Great job, Bowflex!

I research my purchases out to the point of obsession.I can tell you that you have to becareful what you read as there are "Product Reviews" out there that are put out there by the companies selling bad products. You can tell this because the reviews will show the product to be bad and excellent at the same time (depending on what you read and from who).

Do your research and weight your evaluation based on what is important to you.Read BLOGs by runners... Marathon'ers are a good source of info since running "is their life". People that have bought equipment also tend to recommend what they have bought--good or bad--they are still trying to convience themselves they made the right purchase. Also have had people giving me well-intentioned recommendations on garbage they have seen on TV from reputable companies like "The Nordic Track Tread-Walker".

I did a spreadsheet evaluation (Compartive Analysis) based on weighting the things important to me were durability, strenght of equiment (to handle heavy runners), shock absorbtion, roller diameter, incline height, stability of platform, quietness, programming features (including HR feature)... and more.

I bought this treadmill based on the fact I am a heavy runner at 250 lbs (technically I shouldn't even be running--on asphalt anyway)... the unit is built solid, has a lifetime warranty on the motor and frame and 1 yr in home service on electronics, etc.It went together well... very solid.Required two people to assemble... one to put tension on the frame so it would go together and screw holes would line up.That is good though... results in a very rigid structure.

The shock absorbtion feature... actually two automobile type shock absorbers is fantastic... I know saving my old joints on my 53 year old body from abuse. It is like running on the beach... along the edge of the surf.I can see about 1/4-1/2" of movement at each step while I run and ajustable.

It is like having a Gorilla running on a treadmill... a good wide track to handle me too... and my wife says my gait is comparable.I love this machine!!Easy to run and program too.It comes with a Polar Heart Rate transmitter strap you put around your chest and transmits to the treadmill and the treadmill is smart enought to vary the incline (up to 15 deg) and speed to keep your heart at target!!Fandamntastic!!

It is quiet too... my 18 year old athletic son runs on it and I can hear his steps downstairs (from the kitchen above) but not the machine. You can't hear the electric incline feature operate at all.The machine is just smooth as hell and the thing that talked me into it was an account by a marathoner that was looking for something that would save him on joint wear and tear he experinced running on asphalt.

Too expensive for ya you say?By a cheaper machine and you may pay more in repairs and it won't be available to you when you need it.Here is the deal on that... I paid $2K.If you aren't going to spend at least $1500 on a treadmill don't even buy one.Treadmills need to be build very well to last even a year of abuse and I have a family of 5 running on it plus on Gorilla... ha.Just look at your local fitness center... 10 treadmills and about half of them out of commission at any time--overbuy on the treadmill folks and you won't be sorry--or buy something else.

Don't get sucked into the TV ads either for the latest gimmicks... I found out that Bowflex(tm) "Tread Climber" thing... you can't run on that AT ALL!!Plus easy to fall on and get mangled in the moving treads.Considering an Elliptical?Better try it out somewhere... they often don't follow natural body movement... you have to force your body to do something that just doesn't feel right.Running is a great thing if you can take the joint-impact-damage out of it... I think the Smooth 9.35HR does that... great buy.

Hope this leads someone out there to making a good smart purchase... my only incentive... I do not have any relationship to Smooth Fitness at all (not a Stock holder, invester, etc.) and don't sell them either.

So hot in Florida so decided to get a treadmill. I paid extra to have their delivery men assemble it,which was fast and also they made sure it was working properly.Well worth the extra $200.
So far I am very pleased and am sticking to my goal of running 3 miles a day.
It was a toss up between this newer treadmill model and the Sole F80 and reviews were strong for both. Very pleased with my choice.I am a personal trainer and have used more expensive treadmills.I think this is a great buy if you're tired of running/walking in the heat!!

I purchased a Nordictrac treadmill and (wisely, I thought) purchased an extended warranty through UTS (Universal Technical Services). Their website is [...]

The treadmill was not working correctly. The walking track was catching/sticking. After weeks of delays and back orders, they told me that they were not honoring the warranty. I am still unsure as to the reasoning as they have not provided an explanation that would legitimately give them a reason to not honor the warranty, which still has a year left on it.

I am unable to recommend Nordictrack or their extended warranties and UTS. A compnay and their products are only as good as the guarantee and the honesty to which they honor their guarantees.

Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells Review

Bowflex SelectTech 552 Dumbbells
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was torn between these and the PowerBlock dumbells I kept reading about. I had a chance to check out the 2008 and prior model Bowflex Select Tech's at Dicks Sporting Goods, and I remember thinking about how easy it was to spin the dials to adjust the weights.

My only concern and hesitation was that a few reveiws mentioned the possibility of the weights rattling and people were worried they could fall off? I had not heard this before, so I researched it more and although the PowerBlock dumbells had gotten good reviews, I simply could not get past how ugly they were, and the fact that they used a magnetic pin to hold the weights in.

I decided to spend the few extra dollars on these 2009 model Select Techs (assuming any prior issues they may have had were corrected) and boy am I glad I did, they are AWESOME! The dials, in my opinion, are ten times easier than the magnetic pins of PowerBlocks, and these Bowflex dumbells look ten times more fashionable (our gym equipment is on our loft, so yes my wife and I have a style standard). These dumbells are about 15 inches long, but neither of us have any issues with their size (I think the PowerBlocks were only a 3 inch difference anyways).

We are 100% happier we bought these, and we bought the stand from Amazon to go with them also (it is better for your back if you lift dumbells from a standing position instead of from a squatting one). I hope you enjoy your SelectTechs as much as we enjoy ours!

LifeSpan Fitness TR1000-TV Folding Treadmill with 7-Inch Flat-Panel LCD TV Review

LifeSpan Fitness TR1000-TV Folding Treadmill with 7 inch Flat-Panel LCD TV
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I dreaded two things about this machine when I ordered it.

Having to put it together and the size and performance of the 7" tv screen.

The dread was unecessary.

Pro's: The unit came already assembled and arrived in a fold down position. The only thing I had to do was put in a few holding bolts and attach the unit that held the tv and controls for the machine. The entire unit was up and running in less than 20 minutes.

I hooked up my Direct TV to the unit and the sound and picture quality was excellent. I was very surprised.

The unit is very sturdy and well made

Very quiet operation

The options that are built in include different modes such as distance traveled, calories burned, laps, heart rate etc.

There are tons of pre-set exercise options that can be accessed by the touch of preprogrammed buttons.

You can adjust the speed and incline by very convenient buttons located on each handle

Nice magnetic security feature with a magnetized lock that you can click on to your shirt....if you fall the magnetized lock seperates from the machine and it stops immediately.
Cons:

This unit is VERY heavy...300 lbs. It did help that the unit has built in wheels...but it will take two people to move this unit to where you wish to store it.

The TV is great...but the control counsel it sits on is a prefabricated, molded plastic that cannot be adjusted once installed making the angle of the tv such that the screen appears dark if you are not walking near the front of the unit. So unless you are very tall...you need to move up a to the front of the tread mill belt, walking more closely to the front of the unit instead of the middle to see the screen clearly. The TV should have been on some sort of swivel or pivot. It's a bit annoying but not a deal breaker.

I was fortunate to have the proper cables to connect my Direct TV satelitte to the unit..the unit comes with no connecting cables for TV, VCR , DVD etc.

Overall...it's a great machine for the money. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the tv angle and the weight of the machine.

Product Description:
This easy-to-use, high-quality treadmill from LifeSpan Fitness is loaded with features designed specifically to meet the needs of walkers. Among the treadmill's most popular functions are speed and incline buttons on the handlebars, which let you adjust the speed and incline without removing your hands; eight compression shocks in the deck suspension to evenly absorb the impact of the foot strike while providing a firm pushoff at the end of each step; and several preset programs that make it easy to vary the incline and distance as you walk. Add them all up and you have an ideal treadmill for home workout enthusiasts.

The treadmill's console includes a built-in 7-inch, high-def LCD TV.LifeSpan knows that workouts can sometimes be tedious, which is why the company built a 7-inch, high-definition LCD TV into the console. Now you can jog along to your favorite TV show, whether it's a daytime soap, a basketball game, or a music program. The cable-ready TV also offers AV inputs and outputs, so you can hook up a DVD player or other video source in addition to a cable line. And unlike with most other TV treadmills, the TV component isn't connected to the treadmill itself. In other words, if something ever happens to the TV console, the treadmill will still operate--a feature that many mass merchant treadmills don't offer.
The TR1000-TV is also outfitted with a variety of workout programs--including six incline, five speed, and two custom programs--each of which is designed by an exercise physiologist to help you achieve a weight loss, exercise, or health-related goal. The My Zone heart rate program, meanwhile, monitors your heart rate and automatically adjusts the speed and incline to keep your intensity consistent throughout the workout. Best of all, it's easy to track your workout progress thanks to the large blue backlit display, which shows calories burned, workout time, current speed, current incline, heart rate, and distance traveled.
Other features include a 2-horsepower continuous-duty motor that supports speeds of up to 0.6 to 10 miles per hour, a 2.4-inch front roller that provides a smooth walking performance, and a high-quality running belt with a wax and silicone lubricant blend that minimizes belt friction and provides long-term protection against belt wear and tear. Finally, the TR1000-TV includes an EZ Drop folding system, which makes the treadmill easy to store.

One day I found out that my husband had inadvertently broken my old Weslo treadmill. Great. He actually "ran" on it. Now what was I supposed to hang my clothes on? After decided to replace it, we visited three local stores: Sports Chalet, Sports Authority and Sears. It's important to physically try out a treadmill before you buy it, and this Esprit ET-8 treadmill was the ONLY one that stood out to me in our price range. It's super quiet, has great cushioning, and can handle my intense strolling as I sip cocktails while watching horror movies. My husband uses it more vigorously, as nature intended. It has fit programs, nice incline, large deck, heart rate monitor, red LCD, magazine rack, and a fancy way of lowering itself (not unlike an electric convertible top). Did I mention how quiet it is? And how cushiony? I honestly think that it's nicer than the bulkier treadmills at the gym, which can tend to be occupied or out of service. By going through Sports Chalet, we were able to pick it up for under $1000 (including tax) on sale. (I recommend getting as much extended warranty as you can afford). It was delivered and set up the next day in half an hour. Note: You'll need the space to accommodate it. It's no space saver, by any means. Folded, it sticks out from the wall about 34". This is a heavy duty treadmill that won't need to be upgraded. We're really happy with it.

We have owned this treadmill for about a year and it is just great. It is extremely well made andthe Smooth Fitness Company's Customer Service is one of the best that I have ever dealt with. We had a cracked handle and a few blemishes on the frame from shipping and they came out right away and replaced it free of charge. I have found this treadmill to be one of the best investment that I have ever made, and with it's warranty and performance. I am more than happy with it.

Product Description:
Step up your training with the convenient and affordable EVO FX30 folding treadmill, which offers a 2.75 HP continuous duty motor and large 20 x 54-inch treadbelt. The innovative motion control enables you to adjust the speed of the machine without ever touching a button--just wave or hold your hand over a light beam on the handrail to decrease or increase speed. This treadmill also offers the exclusive EVO Swing Arm shock absorption system, which is designed to minimize the impact from running and walking.
Swing Arm Shock Absorption
Give your joints a break. A proper running surface is a necessity for injury free exercise. According to a clinical study of 4,000 runners, one of the five leading causes of injury is an improper running surface. The exclusive EVO Swing Arm shock absorption system is designed to minimize the impact from running and walking. Users who have had a history of lower back pain, shin splints, or degenerative knees will benefit from Swing Arm technology lessens the impact on these areas of the body. Instead of the impact sending the shock through your body, the impact is dispersed through the swing-arm, deck, and frame of the treadmill, creating a smooth, fluid walk or run with greatly reduced impact.
The custom design allows for a soft, forgiving foot landing on the front of the belt, while providing a firm push-off from the rear, providing an ideal surface that reduces impact and relieves pressure on your lower body muscles and tendons, in addition to your lower back.

With the Motion Control feature, you can control the speed of your treadmill without ever touching the machine. Motion Control
A common complaint by treadmill users is the off-balance experience of adjusting the speed, which generally requires reaching forward while you are in motion and pressing a button on the console. Not only do you have to awkwardly lean forward as you run, but you also have to visually focus on the board. This EVO treadmill includes the newly patented Motion Control feature, which enables you to control the speed of your treadmill without ever touching the machine. By waving or holding your hand over the side rails you can increase or decrease the speed (right side rail for increase; left side rail for decrease). You can stop by holding both hands over the side rails simultaneously.

I have had this treadmill for a few weeks now and have been very happy with it.It's very sturdy and has a lot of features for a home treadmill. The comments I list below fall into the category of "just be prepared for" and mainly involve the delivery process.

One caveat I have is that this machine is *heavy*.My delivery guy brought it into my garage and despite my attempts to have him put it just inside a room off the garage, no dice.I had to have the help of a very strong guy to move the treadmill where I wanted it.The good news is that after that, it was a piece of cake to put together, involving about 30 big screws and took exactly an hour (probably could have taken even less time).

This treadmill is supposed to fold up, but I can't imagine ever using that feature -- for one, it's too heavy and two, it's so big it's not like you could really hide it anywhere. These are not complaints -- the fact that the machine is big and heavy translates into sturdiness and a larger running surface.

Finally, there's no instant gratification when you click the Purchase button online.Be prepared for this item to take up to a month to be delivered. It's worth the wait, though!

Turbo Bell Adjustable Weight Dumbbell with Stand, TB560 Review

Turbo Bell Adjustable Weight Dumbbell with Stand, TB560

These are great, and the best price on the like to be found anywhere. They have a wider range of weight than most any for the price. They also come as a pair, with a stand (you can leave the smaller stands on the floor, unattached to the frame stand if you don't have room) all included, unlike most of this sort.I've been using them for a couple of weeks, and they're remaining quite sturdy.
The rubber covered grip with flat sides is actually innovative and underrated, keeping them aligned for replacement on the stand for readjustment, and it's quite comfortable.

The dumbell frames are solid, hard plasic held together by bolts, so it could be disassembled if replacement parts are ever needed (I don't know if they're available though) or tightening required. The adjustment switches (red) are a more flexible plastic, but thick and durable. The weights themselves are black painted iron. The stand is metal and solid, quick to assemble, with the actual weight rests, which could be used seperately if you don't have room for the stand, are a solid plastic. The dumbells have idiot proof diagrams on them by the switches for reference when adjusting to the desired weight.

The "2.5 lb. adjustment" isn't quite accurate. They are really adjustable in 5 lb. increments; 2.5 lbs. on each side of the dumbell. So, you could adjust them in 2.5 lb. increments, but they'd be 2.5 lbs. off-balance.

If you want the convenience of adjustable dumbells with a wide range of weight and you're on a budget, these are without a doubt the ones to get.
