(More customer reviews)I bought a brand new Nautilus T518 in June 2009.I used it consistenly (12 - 15 miles per week) for 7 months and it STOPPED working.The internal circuit breaker would flip and the power would cut out.

The retail store sent out a repair guy and determined the transformer was overheating.They ordered a new controller board from Nautilus.Three weeks later the part finally arrived and the service guy installed it.After running on it for 5 minutes the same problem happened.

This machine is junk and the manufacturer doesn't care how long it takes to send out replacement parts.

Good points:
- Solar and radio sync'ed with time signal, no problem syncing every night, just have to make sure I point it west (I live in San Antonio, TX).When I am where I'm not sure where the transmitter is, I wear it to sleep, and looks like I move around enough that it eventually succeeds syncing.No problem syncing in California, Texas, Poland, Holland.I'm going to Asia in a month, we'll see.
- Switching to a different time zone is easy, if a bit long due to the time zone selecton only going one direction - going from west to east is easy, east to west requires sweeping the whole globe, and if you don't push the button fast enough you have to wait until the needle sweeps.They should have programmed another button to sweep in reverse
- As a "set and forget", this is genius.Keeps the time on the nose (with sync every night, unbeatable precision), never have to wind, no battery to change (had several waterproof watches with batteries, waterproofing dies at 2nd battery change), autmatically changes date regardless of month, changes to Daylight saving.
- Tried stopwatch and down counter, they work but I don't use them much.
- Not the least, looks cool with big dial and 3 sub-dials, with metal bracelet with composite inserts. Clasp is easy to put in, and secure with the 2 buttons you need to grasp to unhook.Much better than pure friction clasp, had a few of those and they keep on unhooking by themselves.
Bad:
- Casio lost a good opportunity, would have preferred the 24 hours needle to show home time while I'm traveling - checked with customer service, not possible.
- The seconds hand is actually in the small, lower dial, the big seconds hand is actually a function indicator, takes a while to get used to it.
- Some times I accidently hit a button and put it into stopwatch mode, takes a few seconds to realize it when I consult the time, another "get used to it" thing.

Overall, the best watch I ever had.

Purchased this item on Oct.6,08.Chose this model, because of a positive reputation and the easy storage function, though it was a bit more expensive than other brands.In addition, this model is supposed to have a very comfortable ankle clasp.Sport version even includes the gravity boots.So, I decided to purchase EP-550 Sport instead of regular EP-550.

The First Day:
The assembly is not hard, but the whole package is quite ponderous.Once assembled, the inversion table needs some practice, adjusting the height and weight distribution, when one first uses it.This will take a while to get used to it.Unlike some other models, this table uses a seesaw mechanism, which means there is no locking into 30, 60 or 90 degree angle.The whole movement depends on balancing weight between one's head vs. his feet by swaying his arm either toward his head or toward his knee, once the balance has been established.Make sure to view the DVD that comes with the kit.

Pros:
Gravity boots are quite helpful, and I love how I can oscillate.

Cons:
Cam Locks arrived completely broken on both sides.When I called the customer service, they knew exactly what was broken, even before I mention the specific location.Obviously, there is a proven packaging problem.

If you are less than 100 lb, you might have a difficult time going into full inversion, since there is a lot of weight at the bottom.Using the gravity boots helps a bit.

Because the table is bottom heavy, it does not fold like a video.I find that, even when I shorten the table to the maximum storage mode, the table still sways into the horizontal angle, which makes it difficult to store without scratching the wall.

Traction handle is a rip off.Personally, I do not find them useful at all.Besides, they are supposed to be worth $30?!

Conclusion:
I recommend buying the regular EP-550 and the gravity boots kit separately and save money for Traction handle.If you really want to try the traction handle, just buy them separately.Buying EP-550 Sport model does not give you any discount for buying the whole package.EP-550 Sport should be around $350, when EP-550 is $299.

(More customer reviews)I have had this treadmill for a few weeks now and have been very happy with it.It's very sturdy and has a lot of features for a home treadmill.The comments I list below fall into the category of "just be prepared for" and mainly involve the delivery process.

One caveat I have is that this machine is *heavy*.My delivery guy brought it into my garage and despite my attempts to have him put it just inside a room off the garage, no dice.I had to have the help of a very strong guy to move the treadmill where I wanted it.The good news is that after that, it was a piece of cake to put together, involving about 30 big screws and took exactly an hour (probably could have taken even less time).

This treadmill is supposed to fold up, but I can't imagine ever using that feature -- for one, it's too heavy and two, it's so big it's not like you could really hide it anywhere. These are not complaints -- the fact that the machine is big and heavy translates into sturdiness and a larger running surface.

Finally, there's no instant gratification when you click the Purchase button online.Be prepared for this item to take up to a month to be delivered.It's worth the wait, though!

(More customer reviews)Was so looking forward to getting this, was not disappointed with purchase, only drawback was took a long time to put together, and please follow directions not to tighten all the screws until all parts are assembled.Learned the hard way, tighted screws and then proceeded to opposite side and holes did not line up, had to loosen opposite side.Also one of the bolts was too big for the hole, thought of using drill to widen, but then would have lost the threading , so i took apart other side and switched screws, so happened one hole was larger on one side than the other so that worked !!! Wonderfully long , for those w' long stride, well built , easy to read monitors, great position of handles. Very Happy with this treadmill, did use heavy foam pads on carpet, very low noise, Great Deal, inexpensive for what u get, old treadmill was bulky and not long enough for my stride/ running or walking my toes w/ hit the front , I would highly recommend the T90 !

(More customer reviews)I have owned a lot of exercise equipment, and the Lifecore LC-985VG Elliptical Trainer is a very good machine.Unlike some others I have tried, it has a very smooth action, is quiet, and is easy to use.It's also smaller than several other models I've tested, so it fits nicely in most rooms.Further, because it is lightweight and has two front wheels, it's easy to move.

The assembly instructions are not the best, but I've seen much worse.Regardless, it's pretty obvious where most of the parts go.It took me about one hour to assemble by myself, though it would be easier and quicker with two people.

Recently I moved the machine to a different room and one of the front wheel casings cracked.I don't know if this occurred because of a defect or because I went over a bump too quickly.I called the manufacturer (toll-free number) and received prompt and courteous service.When I bought the machine I registered it online, so my information was quickly found by the company representative.I described what happened and the representative was surprised because it was unusual for a wheel casing to break.Nevertheless, without any trouble he promised to ship me a replacement part free of charge (still under warranty).I called on a Friday afternoon and received the part on the next Tuesday.Changing the part (only one screw) was simple and took about two minutes.It's nice to know that there are still some companies that stand behind their products and provide good service to their customers.
