Kettler HKS EXT7 Elliptical Cross Trainer Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)It's not a gym quality machine, however for the price, it's great!I'm sure if you got the
Kettler models that were five or six thousand dollars you would have more of a gym quality machine.
This machine is smooth and quiet.I have used it and a 250 lb. man has used it, both with the same
smooth quiet operation.

The cons would be that I was missing a couple of minor parts (as I was with a Kettler rower I got, so
it must be typical of this company). And a couple of pieces loosened after initially putting it together.
This may have been my fault, but I tightened it the same as I did initially and it seems to be fine now.In any machine, I highly recommend this type of build. My brother has one of the ellipticals that has the
runners in the back and has had a horrific time with them "jumping" the tracks.

Kettler APOLLO Inversion Trainer Table Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)High quality, nice design, good customer service (a piece damaged in shipment was replaced with no hassle). Compared to my old American Sports back swing, on which the nylon finally gave out after 25 years, this is higher quality everywhere, and the curved handles are a handy feature for pulling yourself back to upright position in case you're not balanced perfectly. The only downside is that assembly is not easy or obvious, and the instructions are incomplete and poorly written.

About Inversion Tables
Back pain is an uncomfortable and cumbersome ailment for millions of people. It can strike repeatedly and without warning, nearly paralyzing its victims with pain and discomfort. Inversion therapy is an excellent way to prevent and treat chronic or recurring back pain. This form of therapy treats back pain by hanging a person upside-down by their ankles. The only problem with this therapy is a risk of spinal injury because of the procedure's lack of support. Fortunately, inversion tables remove this risk.
A person can lie on an inversion table, and then gradually turn themselves upside down, always fully supported by their ankles. With precise balance, simple arm movements control the rotation of the inversion table. Special tether straps or locking hinges allow users to stop a rotation at just the right angle in order to stretch a specific place in their back. This technique has proven effective for relieving spine compression, elongating the spine, and reversing minor spinal dislocations. Of course, this treatment is not for everyone. People with glaucoma, very high blood pressure, bone disorders, or a history of severe spinal injury or surgery should be careful and check with a physician before administering inversion therapy. However, with a bit of practice and caution, inversion tables can be your ticket to a pain-free and healthier back.

Kettler Kadett Outrigger Style Rower Rowing Machine Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I initially tried to order my Kettler Kadett from a company called Mercantila, a.k.a. Rowingmachines.com.It was a complete disaster and nightmare including some false advertising, trying to cover up some mistakes on their part which caused about a month of delays, some horrible customer service (or lack thereof), some false charges, and a lot of headaches.Eventually enough was enough and I wound up ordering it directly from Amazon, which cost me a few bucks more, but was well worth it.

The machine comes mostly disassembled and took about an hour and a half to put together. There were a few confusing moments as the instructions are only pictures and no text, so making sure you have the right part takes a little extra focus. It came with all the tools necessary except an allen wrench which was necessary for one small thing.

In terms of overall quality, it's very high.I'm not concerned about this thing breaking, nor does it rattle or have ill-fitting parts. That said, the housing for the computer is a little wimpy and doesn't attach very securely to the main body as I've knocked it off a couple times.A small piece of tape at the base has kept it firmly locked into place since.

Some people have complained about the location of the straps on the foot plates.I actually find their location ideal, although they do tend to loosen themselves during a workout.I made a trip down to the store and bought some velcro which I sewed onto the straps. It took 15 minutes to do and I now have the best foot straps in the world.

The best thing about this machine, and the reason I bought it, is that it REALLY DOES in fact mimic an actual rowing motion. When I close my eyes I can actually believe I'm on a boat on the water which makes my workouts much more pleasant. So for anyone with any doubts, you can in fact believe the hype, it IS like rowing a boat.Additionally, all the action is very smooth. The seat is very sturdy and comfortable and it doesn't wobble. The arms are also smooth and the grips spin freely.

One other reason I bought this machine is that I'm very tall and the Kadett adjusts to accommodate my size.It does this by placing the footboards on a center beam that slides inside the central housing. This beam can be adjusted allowing my incredibly long logs to get a full complete extension without the seat hitting the end of it's track.

Although it takes up a lot of space during use due to the outrigger style "oars", it does fold up to the size of a traditional hydraulic rowing machine in about 30 seconds.I keep mine leaned up against a wall and out of the way in an adjacent room, and as it's not very heavy it isn't a big deal pulling it out every morning.

One problem I did discover, is that the numbers on one of my adjustable hydraulic pistons is misaligned. So it was a minor nuisance to set the resistance initially as I had to do it by feel.

In preview, the Kadette appears to be overpriced compared to virtually all other hydraulic rowing machines. But it really is a completely different kind of animal in terms of the rowing action that makes it worth the price tag.It still suffers from a slow start as the pistons come up to temperature like any other hydraulic rowing machine, but the rowing motion is like heaven.

Multisports Elliptix ECT-880 Cross Trainer Elliptical Exercise Machine Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I've had this unit since Jan 06. It has surpassed my expectations on almost every level.
It's heavy...you'll need help offloading from the truck and getting it into your home.
It's easy to assemble, once you realize there is no parts bag because all the connectors are in their respective slots and holes.
It's smooth as silk, barely audible when cranking at 110+ RPM's.
The computer readout is almost too much for me, as all I need to know is the workout level, elapsed time and RPM's. I've never even tried the pulse gizmo.
At 6' 1" the long stride (21") was the main reason I bought this unit, and it does not dissappoint. You can move your foot position fore and aft to highlight leg muscle groups or concentrate on the upper body.
This unit is more solidly built than the health club's machine. It doesn't rock or otherwise feel unstable in the slightest. It's a well thought-out, well executed design.
I started my excersize program from scratch, going for two days on and one day off. In two+ months I can almost do my entire 20 minute routine at level 3.
This beast should last me at least 15 years. I'll try to be at level 5 by then.
