(More customer reviews)This watch was purchased for me by my father as a 30th birthday gift.He requested that I wear it daily and to allay my concerns stated that if it broke he would have it fixed. I did and 6 weeks later it was back to Tissot for repairs.The water resistance had failed and the battery required replacing. It now resides permanently in its box, a reminder of my father's kindness and Tissot's extremely poor quality and judgment.
Why Tissot names this the Trek watch is beyond me.It does not hold up to showering, fishing trips, or hand washing.Honest trekking, camping, and hiking would absolutely destroy this timepiece. Don't even begin to consider this watch for use if you really need to depend on it.It will let you down.
The touch features are intriguing though most of them do not provide information with any degree of accuracy that would warrant their being included.The altimeter, metio, and thermometer functions are ultimately useless.A simple reading of the manual's description of the accuracy and processes involved for each of those three functions reveals this and use and observation confirms they are extremely inaccurate and unreliable.The chrono feature works well though once daily use for 20-30 min a day for 20 days completely drained the battery despite what the manual says regarding battery longevity.
In all I feel awful that my father, who intended to purchase me a durable heirloom timepiece that would be thoroughly useful in my outdoor endeavors, ended up wasting his money.I have had thirty dollar Timex watches that were more durable, reliable, functional, and worthwhile than this watch.I cannot and will not purchase or recommend for purchase a Tissot.
